Hey forum- was hoping some of you amazing guys/gals could help me out. I'm trying to compile a list of schools that don't require an interview for admission. I want to apply to some schools out of state but I'm not sure with my work schedule how many interviews I could take further away. I know interviews are important and this isn't really isn't about avoiding them but if there's a school in, lets say, California that I could apply to that wouldn't require the travel I might consider it...

Thanks to anyone who could help me out.

So far:
NYU
Columbia

Praise GabeN. He is getting me through school

Texas Woman's and Abilene Christian University in Texas
Loma Linda and Stanbridge in Cali also said I could Skype interview since I live in Texas

University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC)
Carroll University
University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee
Elmhurst College (undergoing accreditation) - interview via Skype, if that helps...

University of Toledo, University of Washington, St. Kate's, Washington University

Loma linda does video prompt interview. USC does not interview

Seton Hall
Philadelphia University
Le Moyne * They asked for an interview but I declined, still was accepted. Not really sure if it's a mandatory requirement.
Pittsburgh University

Have a nice little list going here- Thank you guys so much!

Anyone know if Louisiana State requires one? E-mailed them yesterday to ask but haven't heard back.

St. Scholastica, University of Texas El Paso, and Winston Salem State do not require interviews. Texas tech allows webcam interviews.

Here's a quick tip: if you google the school name followed by "OTCAS", it takes you to a page of application info for the school on the OTCAS website. This has an entry for "Date interviews are held" - this will either have the months listed or say "N/A" if there is no interview required. I looked up a few of these schools for verification and compared it to the school's own website...St. Scholastica, for example, says on OTCAS there is an interview window, but on their own website, it only says interviews may be required. So, this may be a quick way to look up if interviews are required for schools you are interested in, but if there is a discrepancy, check the school's website, too. (And of course, some schools may not be on the OTCAS system.)

this was really helpful! i found a few that were off too but still great. thanks a ton!

University of Indiana doesn't require interviews.

awesome, thanks! this is one that otcas has an interview window for so good to know I can't exactly go off of it.

I wish all these schools could get with the times and go web-cam. Would make my life much easier. 😉

York College. No interview. No OTCAS. Not even an essay.

Springfield, Husson (?), Bay Path, AIC, Temple (phone only), supposedly Pacific will let you sometimes do phone/Skype if you're far away.

Thank you all so much for all the replies. Definitely going to add a few more schools to my "apply" list now that I don't have to worry about travel.

Sorry, I'm bumping this. Is that allowed? If not, I didn't know...

Also, mini rant, schools should all be cool with skype if you live across the country!

Some do. I think Pacific and Nova do?
