I thought that my interviewer and I connected during my interview. After the interview, he also wrote me his contact information in case I wanted to ask him questions or keep in contact. But I haven't heard back from him after sending a thank you letter. Is this a bad sign? I don't understand how he was so nice and suddenly became so cold 😱

Not an issue at all. Don't worry about it.🙂:luck:

I agree, he got busy. Just be careful not to pester him.

You might also want to consider that a response from him might be "you're welcome." I don't respond to thank you notes at all, I'm afraid.

A thank-you note doesn't oblige the recipient to respond. Think about it: you give a bride and groom a wedding gift, they give you a thank-you card. Do you have to send something back? WHEN DOES THE MADNESS END???

"Thank you for thanking me on my wonderful and thoughtful gift. I must agree with you that the gift is indeed quite wonderful and thoughtful. I am glad you enjoy it. Sincerely yours."

"You're quite welcome. Thank you for letting us know that our thank you card made it safely to your home."

I don't see the problem. 🙄

To the OP: Even if they do reply, that doesn't mean you'll be accepted. I haven't noticed any correlation between whether a reply leads to an acceptance.

I sent thank you letters to 6 interviewers and didn't get a response from a single one. It's really not a big deal at all.

This topic has been discussed ad nauseam. Most interviewers are extremely busy people and simply don't have the time to write back to you. It's nothing to dwell on.

The problem is you didn't thank them for acknowledging your previous card. Kind of rude, really.
