ok, so is there anyone besides me who has NO interviews so far???🙁
i can't believe i don't have a single one. i mean, i thought my stats were good enough for at least SOME schools I had applied to.

Sorry to hear about that. What's your AA/PAT, Sci GPA, Cum GPA, and how many schools did you apply to?
 
21/16 for aa/pat. gpa is 3.51 and 3.55. it's all in my profile. i think late applications screwed me over. anyhow, i suppose i'll wait till the next round.
 
when did you submit?

it might not be the date he submitted, because i submitted late and have a few interviews already lined up.
 
the OP is an international student i presume....coming from toronto based on predents. that could also be a reason why you haven't heard from schools yet.
 
yes, i am international. all pre reqs are done, except for orgo part 2. i doubt that is a HUGE issue. app submitted aug 2nd but it wasnt complete till mid october. i guess i really have no reason to complain. it was just carelessness on my part :S
but i do hope i can get into nyu, since im really only hoping to hear from that particular school.

yea Im in the same boat as you: canadian, lower stats than yours and applied about the same time,nothing yet. I know how you feel homeboy
 
Relax. Mostly only first round interviews...maybe some 2nd have gone out. Plenty of schools will still be sending out interview invites thru Feb. If you have heard a negative response from most of the schools you applied to, THEN, and ONLY then, should you be planning for submitting next cycle already.
 
why when do 2nd round interviews start going out,, generally that is?

none for me. i had a similar holdup with my app, so schools didn't get it til the beginning of october. my predental advisor took a month after everyone else to get her LOR in. i was so frustrated b/c it was the only thing missing from my app. 🙁

Hey, why didn't you post your QR and OC score on your predents profile? Just curious because they should be pretty solid scores seeing how you ended up with a 21 overall.
 
have you given thought to moving to the US? your scores might not cut it for an international student.

but private schools dont care where you are from for the most part so you can still be looking at about 10 schools if you are international...
 
It's b/c you got a 0 in ochem and QR. 😉

My app was complete at the end of Sept, although submitted in July. So far I've only had one pre Dec 1st interview, so I'm kind of in a similar position to you. Feeling very nervous - hopefully more will come once schools are done sending out their initial offers :scared:.
 
i submitted on june 2nd, had 2 pre-dec. 1 interviews (one private school, one state school) and have one more at a private school on dec. 10th. looks like the canadians don't get as much love hahahha.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong ... but when I was looking over pre-dents, I was under the impression that schools that accept a lot of out of state applicants would be more receptive to accepting international students, because those students would have to pay out of state tuition for all four years without hope of gaining state residency status.

Your numbers are way more balanced than mine, so I'm sure you'll get something.
 
I had 3 pre-dec interviews so far, and 1 more on nov 30.
I'm an international student too, and I applied end of june and my app wasn't processed until july and my LOR's were sent by my school on august.

I do think that applying that late is the main reason for most schools, however, I also applied to BU and have received no info every since I paid my fee. We have to remember some schools start later than others, many applicants for each school, etc.

Also, I think being international does affect admissions to a certain extent, except schools that get no funding from the government.

don't worry my only interview came from BU in March of last application cycle and I got accepted!

so don't lose hope.
 
I'm in the same boat (well... sorta)...
Though my GPA isn't as good as yours, I only have one interview - Dec. 14

I haven't heard from 10 schools yet. I feel your pain! It's really hard not to get nervous. I'm holding out for second round interviews...
 
I'm in the same boat too!! My GPA is lower as well....its like 3.2 for science and cumulative . ive applied to 10 schools, rejected from one(nova) and under review at all the others. Im already planning on retaking the dat and or applying to a post bacc or masters. This sucks!! 😕

count me in. one interview at Nova (January 2nd), out of 8 schools... my gpa isn't where I want it to be but I did fine on the DAT (QR with fat markers = 😡) and my extracurriculars are decent

I'm guessing you just applied real late. 'Cause those are decent stats. Sorry. Better luck next time.

Actually I dont know if he's THAT late. I took my DAT on 8/11 and I had no problem getting interviews and acceptances.

To be completely honest, I dont really understand why so many schools have overlooked your application.....

If you are an international applicant, do you fill out your SSN or leave it blank?

Oh, didn't see the date earlier. Hmm. Maybe he/she was late getting his/her secondaries in?
