First of ALL I want to thank all the SDNers that have been here for so long and are so willing to give aid and help others when they really need it! So I just took it again today the second time around, and i must say im very satisfied compared to how i did the last time. The first test I took back in october last year.

Bio: When I was going through the bio I was surprised a few times with a few of the questions because they were just really worded funny, but all in all wasn't TOO bad.

G Chem: The problems they presented weren't too bad. Like a lot of other people said there was a lot of conceptual.

O Chem: I went by this section the most careful...even though I should've did the same thing for the Bio ahahah.

RC: SO GLAD DIDN'T GET FRAPPED. Instead I got these fun to read 3 sections instead.

PAT: oh man....I don't even know how I did that well on the PAT. The angles just came out and I eliminated whatever didn't look right pretty much for all of them. TFE and Keyholes were always my weakness, but it looked like it fixed itself on this test 🙄

QR: eh. quite a bit of word problems that caught up to me at the end. I had to guess on like 4 or 5.

For my studies, I used DESTROYER (OMG WITHOUT THIS I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE SO WELL.) Kaplan BB, Achiever, Topscore, cliffs, and the ochem class book. What I kind of regret for the first test was that I did not put in the same amount of effort that I did like for this test. Thank you very much to those very kind OPs that had really good questions to ask and those that answer those questions so well again!

Wow, way to own the PAT. You have got pretty strong scores on the other sections as well. Congratulations. I can't wait till I take mine on 29th.

I didn't take any of the kaplan practice since last year and I didn't finish the section courses they gave me to do so I couldn't use it either

Honestly, my topscore scores weren't that high either.

I retook it because I knew that I didn't give my all for the test when I should have. The test I just took now was the culmination of studying 2 months ahead for ~2-4hrs a day and then ~8-10hrs a day for two weeks before the actual test. Plus with a 3.3 gpa the first scores would've only been alright for applications and the adcoms. But now they can see the real potential that I could give their school.

Reading was search and destroy like in kaplan, the topics I don't really remember and there weren't many tone questions like other ppl said

I went thru destroyer twice for everything except the GC. but going through everything twice for me meant that I understood everything in that question meaning that I understood every answer choice that they had and why it was wrong. PAT....I honestly don't know how it got so high. first time I took it I got a 21 at the 93.0% and at that time I didn't really practice it. I just understood the concepts that kaplan taught with the TFE. The keyholes I just used the conceptual thinking to push them through. There were one or two questions on the PAT that looked like it COULDN'T be any of them, but I chose the closest one.

In the last two weeks were when I pretty much did EVERYTHING. From using the Kaplan BB, Cliffs, Destroyer, Achiever, and Topscore. The last few days before the test I went through my old O Chem book from the class and went over things that were somewhat hazy. gL studying 🙂

Man i'm taking it in a week i'm so freaking out now. I have only gone through the destroyer bio. As someone who successfully retook the exam and did great, do you suggest i finish the destroyer before i take the exam this week??

How did you do on the DAT? I'm taking the test on Oct 15th and have only studied Bio from the Destroyer. How was your experience with Bio? Was Destroyer enough for Bio?
