Why hello! I know that you guys are not an admissions committee but some of you might have some valuable insights on this. My app was mailed on 9/11 to 21 dental schools. I have heard back from 4 schools so far (I had two interviews (for which I am grateful) and have been waitlisted for an interview at two other schools). Other than that it has been CRICKETS. Anywho, I was wondering if you guys know if any schools have filled their pre-december interview slots and if you think that there is still potential for more to come! My stats: 3.77 Cum, 3.56 Science, 22 AA DAT, Good EC's etc. Hope everyone is enjoying this process as much as I am. The cheese is out.

Some schools haven't even sent interview invites yet so hang in there. You have 2 interviews and hopefully one of those will be an acceptance. You only need one.

I can contribute by saying that Nova and MWU-AZ pre-dec interviews now are not possible (however people still drop interview and you can still get into pre dec interviews that way since these schools hand out interviews in July.

Yes. Neither my wallet, nor my wife, are very happy with my decision to apply to 21 schools. I submitted my app before I took the DAT. I honestly didn't know what my DAT scores would be so I thought that it would be better to apply broadly rather than apply to fewer schools with an avg. to below avg. DAT score. I interviewed at MWU-AZ and the University of Utah and was waitlisted by Iowa and Kentucky. I didn't apply to Nova so I won't worry to much about that one. Thanks for the input though!

If you look at the school-specific threads for where you applied, you might have better luck for whether or not they are done with pre-December invites. Or if you list some of the schools here. For example, I've seen that Nova is done with Pre-December, but Tufts just started giving them out.

Interesting that you have heard from Iowa they got my app 8/14 and I haven't heard a thing since. Hmmm dental school are weird.

Yeah. I heard that Nova, MWU-AZ, and VCU are done with pre-december interviews. Does anyone know if UCLA, UCSF, UConn, Nebraska or UNC are still extending invites?

Interesting that you have heard from Iowa they got my app 8/14 and I haven't heard a thing since. Hmmm dental school are weird.

I would take their lack of correspondence to be good news. They got back to me quickly and let me know that it was going to be a no-go for me.

Not 100% sure, but UConn probably is done with pre-dec. I was invited a bit ago and the earliest date they had was the first week in November
