I interviewed at Stonbrook the 3rd week in January. I have not heard from them, has anyone who interviewed around then found out either way? Does anyone know also how long it generally takes or when they usually let people know?

Thanks!

I got a letter from them yesterday that I was wait listed and I interviewed on Jan. 14th.

Since they're overbooked, I'm not suprised its taking so long to hear. They are probably waiting to see who will ultimately decide to go elsewhere before being able to give more acceptances. I interviewed with them the 1st week of January and still haven't heard anything, which is killing me, but it is great that you got waitlisted.

Oh I forgot to mention that if you have interviewed in Jan., call them because Patricia was extremely nice about telling you what's going on and I found out I was wait listed the day before I got my letter. I assume that they have made their decisions but might have not sent out the letters to everyone yet.

when you called, did Patricia say anything about still being overbooked?
At first she just gave me the "There were many many qualified candidates and we only have 39 seats" stuff. But then I said "Yes I understand. I also heard that many people accepted your offer in the first round as well" and she kind hesitated and then said "Yes that's very true." Might have not been something great to ask her but she was very nice and honest about it, hinting that even though I'm on the wait list, there's kinda no hope.
