I know majority of the applicants do research. BUt i did not have interest in research, so I ddidn't do any research. Do my chance of getting accepted reduce because of no research experience? I have lots of clinical experience. I volunteered at hospital for two summers, and several shadowing experience and also other non clinical volunteer experience.
Anyone got in without research experience?

Lots of people get in without research. People who do research have a leg up, but if the rest of your application is really good, it's not going to kill you.

From what I've read, the top-tier / also-research schools do look for research on your application. I know I've got no research - my undergrad does very little research, and all I have is my undergraduate thesis for my employer.

Then again, my GPA isn't high enough to shoot for those schools anyways, so...

THank you so much for sharing. I am not applying to top tier or research schools. So should be ok then.

Dont say that in a PS or secondary essay or interview, because the response would be how would you know that you don't have any interest if you haven't tried. Otherwise you are fine

You aren't required to do research but understand that you're behind in schools that value it. However, so long as you did something productive instead you are fine at most schools. Basically you don't want to have all the same stats of someone that did research but without the research, you want to have all the same stats as someone that did research but instead of research you did such-and-such.

And yeah, I realize the OP shouldn't shoot for "having the same stats" but you get the point I'm trying to make. Where they have research, replace it with something equally strong.
