No secondary... Update?

One of my top choice schools didn't send me a secondary (or a rejection). I just got another LOR from work for some of my other schools and decided to send it to that school too since I don't have much to lose. Has anyone had any luck sending updates to programs that hadn't offered secondaries?

It is possible but the pdate would have to be very substantial. A new LOR almost certainly won't fall in that category.
