Many DO programs talk about how you fill out your secondary at the interview. So, my question is, when can i express why i really want to attend PCOM, or NYCOM, or NOVA, or whatever. My PS obviously discusses my desire to become a DO, but does this mean I won't get a chance to show how interested I am in a specific school till the interview? Can I mail them something to include in my app perhaps?

Hi. Most DO schools actually will send you a secondary after they receive your AACOMAS application. NYCOM is one school I know of who invites for interviews and send a secondary at the same time. But, even then, you fill out the secondary at home and bring it to your interview. Most of the schools you will have a chance to express interest in DO in the secondary, and based on that and scores, etc... they will invite for interviews. :luck:

And for any schools that don't send a secondary until you get an interview invitation, I think it can only help if you go ahead and send them a letter on why you want to attend the school. That's one of the things I would've done differently if I had to apply again.

I recall that one of the essays for PCOM was specifically geared towards why you want to attend there.
