For the PCAT, should I learn how to name ester, amide, ether, ... compounds? It is mentioned in Dr collins and I thought we just need to know the nomenclature of alkane, alkene ,alkyne and alcohol.
You're going to see this in the organic section of the PCATs, it could show up as a reaction:
ex: Carboxylic Acid + Alcohol ---> ???
the answer being ester
But this could be a nomenclature problem and there wouldn't be any labels. Just learn how to recognize them
