I just noticed that only Gavin is a moderator for this forum. I strongly believe that we should have an Advanced Standing candidate as a moderator too.

I here by nominate Meggs for the post of Moderator of the International Dental forum.

What say?

I do agree with BDS DMD that we need an advanced standing student as a moderator so everyone in the forum can benefit & secure guidance.Those of you who have been browsing the forum long enough might remmber Henna who was the moderator a while ago......she always helped with valuable insights to most problems.Though Gavin C has been great, I think there are a lot of issues which are unique to advanced standing students so it might be a good idea to have one such person as a moderator.

Again, I agree with BDS DMD and think that MEGGS would be a great moderator if she is willing.....

I agree with bds dmd,and if meggs is not willing then bds dmd is also a good choice as a moderator.
 
Come on people. If Meggs is to become the moderator, we need more messages of support.

Gavin continues to be one too,by the way.

i feel a moderator should have more experience...no doubt bds-dmd can be a modereator but i feel meggs has been around here longer and has more answers to questions which we may have.among meggs and bds-dmd i support meggs
 
I agree with divya. I think Meggs would be a good choice for a moderator. Besides BDS-DMD himself is supporting Meggs, so lets not make this an election! 🙂

this thread needs to be boosted up.........i think both will do a good job that way when one is away the other can moderate.
 
Thanks for thinking of me for the position, but I'm not interested. I'm way too busy to do a good job. I'm sure BDS will do a great job.

I'm sure that if you demonstrate interest to Lee Burnett or Dr. Mom they'll make it possible. Someone needs to PM them with a link to this thread. I'm sure they'll listen. Take care, thanks again.

I Also Feel That The International Dental Forum Needs A Moderator.But Meggs' Unwillingness To Be A Moderator Means Nominating Another Candidate!bds-dmd,as U R Already In U-penn,can U Devote Enough Time For The Forum?
 
Hi

A few of you have expressed their support for me to become the moderator. I have had some communication with Meggs and she is firm on her decision on not taking up the post. I would urge her to re-consider the request but if she feels she cannot devote the required time, we have to respect that.

As far as I am concerned, I will continue to devote the same amount of time and energy to the forum as I have been doing. How ever,like Meggs, I am not sure if that is good enough. There have been times when people have sent me a PM and I have not been able to answer that but have posted in the main forum. That is because I like to think before I say something. I even got a hate mail from one member who said I am acting snooty coz I am already in school. Thats not true coz I came on the forum only after I got in,so .......

The bottom line is that if you all feel I should become the moderator, you have to bear in mind that I will be as active as I have been till now. Not less,not more.

What ever you all feel, please relay it to Lee or DrMOM.

What say Meggs?
 
I thought Henna was the moderator? Whatever happened to her? Is she okay? Did she get married??
 
Thanks to hzq and all the others who nominated me. When I nominated Meggs, I never even thought it would be me and not her who would end up being the MOD.

I guess I will just continue what I have been doing all this while,help others.

We have a great bunch of people here and I am sure I will not have to do much.
