Hello, all --

I have to take two courses that the school calls "non-credit" as a part of a summer fellowship at the school.

If there is not a transcript available for me after this summer from the school, do I report these to AMCAS?

If there is a transcript, will these courses have grades and will they be factored into my GPA?

I certainly don't mind having biostats and epidemiology listed as courses I took, but I just want to know what the situation is before I choose between investing my time more into the research and other parts of the fellowship than the courses of the fellowship.

Are they "official" courses that are listed in the college catalog somewhere or just part of the fellowship?
If you list them, then you have to make a transcript exception request and get a letter from college registrar
But if they aren't "official" courses, then the college registrar may say he/she has no knowledge and wont write the letter
That could leave your application in verification limbo for some weeks.

What to do:
I would call the registrar first and ask about this. If you dont get a detailed "yes" to an exception letter, then drop the idea
For ease, you may just want to drop the idea and add these under the fellowship or as an EC

Well, I don't know the full details yet, since the fellowship starts in June. But I'll be sure to keep this stuff in mind.
