Hello to all, these are my stat's. If you can please give me some idea if I have a shot if so where's the best school for me. Are there any schools that do not look/harp on the mcat, as well as the program taught in english? Any information would be great. Thank you so much.

I'm from: NJ, USA
My country of citizenship is: USA
Currently studying: Biology

At this University:
AS: Associates in Science in biology (County College of Morris, NJ) BA: Bachelors of Arts in Biology (Rutgers, Newark NJ) Masters: Master of Biomedical Science {University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ), Newark, NJ}

My GPA is: AS:3.5 BA:3.675 Master's: 3.85 (this fall was the first semester haven't finished yet). Not sure what the total of the 3 is, not sure if they even put it all together, anyone has an answer to that?

My MCAT Scores were: I scored an 18M: 9BS 6PS 3VR (buzz kill!!) studying again now for them.

EC'S: 1) Volunteer EMT for the town's first aid squad for the past 5 years. 2) Work in Saint Barnabas Medical Center's ER as total bitch of the ER aka Clinical Tech, For the past 5 years. 3) Work as a paid EMT for monoc and do urban EMS in the cities of Orange, and Irvington for a the past year.

What do you want to do? You gave information as if you're going to apply to the US, as barely any of those qualifications will transfer over. Just your grades. MCAT is not recognized in Europe.

Next thing, you didn't specify if you want to learn a language, so right there you are bound to the UK, Republic of Ireland, Malta, and Hungary for English programs. The programs in English in Hungary offer associations with US schools and at least one is DOJ recognized.

Otherwise, learn a language and go to school in France, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Germany, or one of a few in Italy.

The english programs are highly competitive, since english is the international language and so many people speak it. They are also expensive. At that rate, you might as well go to the Islands. Priority is given to EU citizens and top candidates.

From there, you will need to do searches to find out what you want to do and contact the schools directly.

Thank you very much, that info really help.

Thank you

You can always re-take the MCAT. Score a good score. And apply to US medical schools.

If you want to eventually practice in the US, going to a US medical school will open more doors for you.

That depends and in some cases, a myth. If you're from a TOP European medical school, such as Heidelberg, any of the Swiss schools, UK schools, etc, that opens plenty of doors, as these universities are noted. The situation that is spoken of on the other side of the forums is that 100% of foreign medical schools are treated like students from the Islands, which is grossly untrue. Eventually those people talk about it enough and they find that others start believing and perpetuating it. Yes, for residency, a US student would be preferred, but many will attest to going to a top Euro school, coming back, and having a great time with residency because they were simply top candidates. There are top schools that are world ranked in the rest of the world, but on the other side of this forum, they prefer to think they don't exist, people go to TOP SCHOOLS in europe for the same reason some go to the Islands, or that these schools are no competition.

It's typically clueless pre-meds regurgitating such info, without even a clue of how the later process they may never reach works.

There is quite a large North American student body here at the University of Debrecen in Hungary. The education is top-notch and US recognized. Getting residency in the states from here is not a problem.

Thanks for the new insight. I definitely learned something.

How do you define a "good" school in Europe? By looking at the ranking? Which ranking defines a good school in Europe?
