This questions is mainly directed toward LDS members. Do LDS patients search for LDS dentists for treatment? I am non-LDS, but have the opportunity to purchasing an established practice in the Salt Lake City area. Would you see any problems getting patients not being LDS? Those that are LDS, do you search out LDS health providers?
Thanks

i would be more concerned about the dental saturation in salt lake city and the two new dental schools impact on the climate than religious differences.

very very good comment. That is what my concern would be as well. I would love to live in Utah but it is way too competitive and saturated. As far as answering your original question, no it will not make a difference. I don't think most LDS people search out specifically LDS businesses.

I would have to second the comment about saturation and the two new dental schools. From my experience, most people choose a dentist that is in their ward, or someone that they know. I don't think anyone would have a problem with you not being LDS, but depending on the practice, you may lose patients to dentists that they already know / go to church with just because they would feel more comfortable with it.
