I was curious as to how admissions committees weigh the importance of non pre-req science courses versus the pre-req science courses (Intro Bio, Chem, O-Chem, Physics).
I'm asking this because in my first two years I completed all my pre-reqs and came out with about a 3.1. I kept taking non pre-req science courses (for instance - biochemistry, genetics, neuroscience, nutrition, anatomy etc) and was able to pull my science GPA to about a 3.4. Are these non pre-req science courses considered "less" important because they aren't required??
