I was wondering if any non Kentucky residents applying to KY, could
elaborate on why you picked kentucky (unless you have some family there or you are a huge Wildcat fan!!!). I am a non resident applying there, and want some perspective from others in the same situation. I went to a college in KY and some graduate work at UK. But since I am only applyign to UK, I need to really need to demonstrate my reasons for only applying there. I think my reasons are goodenough, but I would like to see some fresh perspective from anyone who has been there or is there now. I posted a similar post and got no response, so I assume there arent too many on SDN applying ED at Kentucky. Thanks for any help. 🙂

Thanks principessa . I have lived in around Lexington for 8+ years and this is pretty much where I want to stay. I wanted to know early whether I get in or not. That is why I applied ED.

Cheers. I did my undergrad at UK and I agree, Lexington is a nice town. I was just there this weekend, actually. Have you thought about establishing KY residency? I did apply to UK med, but I can't tell you much about their admissions procedures because I didn't go any further than the secondary. Best of luck.

Thanks! I think I will try getting hold of the UK Class of 2008 people. They have to have some prespective. Lexington in pretty nice.
