One of my professors, whom I have known for 4 years, works in the Psych department, teaching cognitive psychology courses that I have classified as BCPM on AMCAS. I am wondering if I may still use his letter as my non-science LOR, due to his affiliation. Is this acceptable?

On an ethical basis, please explain how the class he/she teaches is a BCPM but the letter he/she writes isnt?

On a reality basis, it should be fine

Thanks, Gonnif. I should clarify that I don't know whether these classes will be accepted as BCPM, as they're not classic neuroscience courses.

I created this thread to get others' feedback because classifications for classes and designations for LORs are distinct (as per AMCAS instructions). I just didn't know if I would run into any issues with this special situation. @LizzyM @gyngyn, as experienced adcoms, is this alright?
