I was confused about what actually counts as a "non-science" letter of recommendation. Is it a class that is outside of the BCMP classes. I have taken a plant molecular bio class and wanted that professor to write a letter of rec for me, but I am not sure whether this counts as being the non science letter. Anyone know?

do you have a life other than science is what they mean...plants = botany = science. music, dance, volunteering at soup kitchens, building homes, ect those are non-science...hope that helps. I hope

That is unless the school specifies non-science faculty/professor at which point, unless they have a history of being relaxed with LOR requirements, they probably won't accept soup kitchens, building homes, other non-science extracurriculars
