Today I asked the professor I'd picked to write my non-science LOR if was willing to do it. He agreed, saying that he'd use a rec he wrote a while back (for a study abroad app.) as a template, but asked me to tell him if there was anything else I wanted it to say. I assume he means in terms of my activities/new experiences/etc, but I'm wondering if I should point him to a resource that lays out exactly what a letter from a non-science prof should cover...
I don't want to put words in his mouth or anything, but I was sort of under the impression that it should cover things like intellectual curiosity, motivation, breadth of interests (things a non-science LOR might not go into)
Is there anything else a non-science LOR should cover that I've forgotten? How exactly do I go about letting him know what the letter should cover?
Also, is there a school website that I could point him to that lays out the basics for non-science LOR writers? I'm sure he writes Law School letters all the time, but I don't think he's familiar with what med schools might be looking for...
