Quick overview of my background:
Went to top 3 public school - 3.8 gpa - majored in math related field - did some research into disease area relating to stats in college - working in big tech last two yrs

Have developed a portfolio of projects that is focused on the applications of ai/ml in craniofacial development and cephalometric analysis

Got interested in dentistry after many months of doing research into the field after a life changing procedure. Dream is OMFS. Got some pre requisites in college, but catching up on community college(do you recommend I continue?

DAT practice - got basically perfect scores for every section except for the science areas(lack of science knowledge )(I genuinely think I can get a really high score)

Doing shadowing under an Omfs
Volunteering and community service on the side - one related to dentistry
Plus a few other softs
What dental schools are here if I’m interested in getting accepted then matching into OMFS

Wow, aren't you like the smartest person ever. So lucky to have you here in the forums....

1.) Try not to sound conceited, interviewers don't like that
2.) Literally any dental school will set you up to getting into OMFS as long as you get good grades/get good scores/do research during school
3.) Go to the cheapest school you get into. IF you get in.

Apologies, I'm scared that I might not even make it to dental school lmao if most of my pre-req's are from community college. And my dream rlly is OMFS so im just trying to maximize my chances mate. How does research in dental school work, do they provide the opportunities to do so like every year or you gotta reach out or what??

I also heard OMFS is getting more and more competitive every year according to the person who I am shadowing under. He said more ppl from diff backgrounds are applying.

Pretty sure there were more unfilled residency spots this past cycle so idk about more and more competitive. You still gotta be on top of everything because it is competitive.
