Hey All,
I posted in the Pre-Allo section that I'd be willing to read any personal statements, but I reckon my talents are better served here as I did come to medicine in a bit of a roundabout way and am probably better suited to edit for non-trads.
Nevadanteater currently not reviewing.

I've gotten (accepted) to (a GREAT) medical school through an unusual path and that was reflected in my personal statement. I wrote about transgenderism, punk rock music and hippies. As such, I'd probably be best (content-wise) dealing with PSs that are more non-traditional in nature, though a good PS is a good PS and I can help you get there regardless.
PM me if you need someone to read over your PS.

I'll be happy to evalute your personal statements as well. I'm a nontrad applicant and have been posting on SDN for a year. I can offer general guidelines, advice on structure and diction, as well as some grammar and spelling suggestions, etc.
If you do PM me with a personal statement, please write a blurb explaining what kind of schools you plan on applying to (MD or DO, and tier level) and whether or not you have any red flags (criminal convictions, institutional action, academic probation) that needs to be addressed in the personal statement.

If anyone else would like to read, we can generate a list here. Post if you're interested.
