I just graduated from undergrad (4-year state institution) with a bachelor's in neuroscience (3.081 cGPA and 2.922 sGPA) and 142 credits.

I entered undergrad during the Fall 2020 semester and was very unsure about what I wanted to do. I was undecided for the first two years and put no effort into my classes until my senior year, when a couple of life events and a great shadowing experience made me realize I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. I took a majority of my pre-med classes during my senior year and my 5th year with a slight upward trend (3.5 in my last 3 semesters), but did not do too well:

I was wondering how many credits of a DIY-Postbacc I should aim for and if I should take these classes full-time or part-time. I have no clinical or research experience, but have 150 hours of physician shadowing in one specialty and thousands of hours of volunteering spread out through my church, soup kitchen/food bank, and as an assistant coach for a youth soccer team. Any input about the MCAT and timing for taking the exam would be appreciated also.

Thank you in advance

You should acquire 200+ of clinical volunteering/employment with patient contact before you apply. Take enough undergraduate level science courses at a local college in order to raise your sGPA to 3.0 . Many schools screen at 3.0 . Of course, you also need to do well on the MCAT. If you score 500+ you could receive interviews at some DO schools.
