-white male first gen student from underserved area. HH income growing up less than 40k. Primary ties to Ohio and Michigan. I did an away rotation in Pittsburgh on a brain injury unit at UPMC so small tie there as well.

-cGPA 3.9 sGPA 3.82 MCAT 505

-13,000 hours as a PT in home care underserved area and in acute rehab (stroke, brain injury, trauma)

-research 800 hours clinical research in PT school with 1 poster. Human subject research

-volunteer: 140 hours with Parkinson's exercise group, tutoring middle school students, food bank

-shadowing: 40 hours (ortho surgery, ED, 3 outpatient physicians)

-leadership: 225 hours hospital accreditation committee, home care chronic illness committee (CHF/COPD)

-misc: D1 athlete, top 400 in Boston marathon, competed in triathlon at a national level

-awards: best clinical performer in PT school, home care safety award for recognizing early signs of sepsis in multiple patients and escalating appropriately

-LOR: PM&R attending I worked with for 4 years, ortho surgeon, grad school/PT prof, home care boss, ochem 2 prof

I am currently on the waitlist at NEOMED. I applied last cycle with a 501 to only NEOMED. I retook and got a 505. Pretty bummed about that. I am 14 years out from most pre reqs and I struggle with a lot of CP concepts. I score 127/129 in BB and PS respectively. Preview and Casper scores pending

I really don't know where else I can apply without being dead on arrival with my MCAT score. I could try a retake again this cycle but I did not study during my 30 day break. I just got my score today.
