Physics
I took my Calculus based physics #1 and #2 about 10 years ago. I did not take Calculus Physics #3 after I switched from Engineering to Biology as my major. I've also taken Calculus based Statics, Linear algebra, Biomechanics etc..

The other issue is that I earned a letter grade on my Lecture and a "Pass" on the lab portion for my Physics #2.

Chemistry
My Gen. Chemistry #1 is 9 years old.

....Dental school....
My goal is to do well on my DAT, take upper division/graduate Biology courses while completing an excellent internship instead of retaking Physics or Chemistry. It's also my plan to "start" dental school in 3 years or less! I'm a non-traditional that really has no time to waste with physics or general chemistry. I was wondering if anybody here is in a similar situation or has any idea as to the feasibility of getting accepted to Dental schools considering the route I'm taking.

Thanks

engineer here, starting d school next fall. I took lots of mechanics classes (FEM, Tensor Calc), but adcom doesn't really care. don't retake any classes, your current plan is the correct way, pass/fail for lab is not a problem either. d school is more or less flexible about your pre reqs. Just do well on DAT get involved in dentistry and you're on your way, gl.

If you still remember the material then dont re-take. You dont need physics on the DAT. I hadnt taken a Chem class in almost 15 years so I retook it, but you may still have it fresh in your mind. You may want to get a DAT study guide to make sure it all still makes sense.

Non-traditional engineer here too that will be starting next fall. It had been about 7 years since I last took general chemistry & biology I. I don't know if you have the extra time to take multiple courses at the same time, but I asked and was able to audit both classes (took exams and quizzes too). This really helped in refreshing things, gave the professors an opportunity to know me better (helps for LOR if you need them), and gave me an idea of what to expect teaching/testing style for when I took part II with them. Good luck!

Just call the schools you are interested in and ask if it is needed. Most are more than willing to let you know what is required! 🙂
