I'm a non-traditional student, and I graduated a few years (3 years ago) from undergrad. I've been working and am finally starting to seriously look at applying to dental school and realized that almost all of the schools require 2 or more science professor LOR. This makes me extremely nervous as:
1. I was not a science major but a humanities
2. I was a pretty average science student (went to class, took the test, scored fine, no special relationship with the profs or TA)
3. The few professors that I did know a little better probably have no clue who I am/don't remember me

I e-mailed 2 profs and haven't heard back from them so I'm just thinking of worst case scenario that they never contact me back. What should I do? I think I'm getting anxious for no reason but want to know if other people have been in this boat.

Thanks!!

Call the dental schools you plan on applying to...

I was in a similar situation last year and decided to wait till next cycle. Ended up getting 9 LORs to choose from this year. pm me and ill send you the template I emailed my profs. I also made a packet with info and a request letter and dropped it off at their university mailboxes.

I was a music major, I went back to school to do science prerequisites. I just had to be open in the beginning with them. I ended up needing 3 science letters but I didn't have a lot to choose from so one in particular I met with the prof and explained my situation and it worked out perfectly.
