Aren't all tuition deposits supposed to be refundable up until May 15th? I received an offer of acceptance that requires a tuition deposit of $50 - nonrefundable! 😱

I know it's not much, but after AMCAS, secondaries and interview expenses, funds are tight... I guess I'm forced to make a quick decision here. Is this allowed? Are there other schools that do this?

Yup it's allowed. Sucks, though. If you're really uncertain, just spend the $50. Chances are you'll be graduating over $100,000 in debt as it is, so it's just a drop in the bucket after all. Maybe if you're really tight for money you could contact the school and ask for a waiver?

yeah dri...

it sucks....a good number of schools do that.

but at least the one you are dealing with is only 50 bones.

would you go there over other schools youve been accepted to ie msu?

if not then you can save the money....if you just want to have the option to choose then just spend it. weve spent soo much already haha.
