Hey everyone!
Just wanted to spread the word on a one-day conference/symposium that my school's PM&R IG is putting on. This idea spawned off of our experience at the annual AAPM&R medical student section, specifically when only half of the room raised their hands when asked who has a PM&R program at their school.
"In setting this up, our vision for the Northeast Regional PM&R Symposium is to create a multi-center body that will provide an opportunity for students to gain exposure to multiple facets of the field, interact with peers, and hear from experienced PM&R physicians. We hope to build a stronger network for students while increasing the presence of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Albany Medical College is proud to be hosting the first annual Northeast PM&R Symposium endorsed by the Association of Academic Physiatrists. For anyone interested in PM&R, it will be a great opportunity to learn more about this exciting field! We will have PM&R faculty from AMC, NYU, Spaulding, NYMC, and other institutions give lectures on topics at the forefront of PM&R. We have some exciting events planned that include guest speakers from institutions throughout the region lecturing on topics at the forefront of PM&R. There will be opportunities to participate in hands-on workshops, have lunch with regional faculty, present your research, and ask questions to a panel of current residents!
Date: April 27th, 2019 from 9 am - 4 pm.
