I called today and was given my position on the list over the phone. I just called the number listed on the PT department's landing page.
 
I just called right now, and I'm apparently #31 on the waitlist. I was not expecting for them to have this many at all, and I don't think I have any chance either unless the class is hardly full. Anyone willing to share their position?
 
To add on, I emailed the program director about the class size not too along ago and she told me that they currently have a complete cohort. We'll see what happens later on.

Nothing yet! I'm trying to refrain from calling again and hoping I'll get a call that I have a spot soon. As soon as I do I'll be sure to give yall an update.

I applied last year, and I believe only about 10 people got pulled from the waitlist

The fact that the tuition for the whole program is about 70k (both OOS and in-state students) is probably what is attracting people to this school.

Yea i was told, class is totally full. 23 ppl are already in the FB group
 
I got my acceptance offer email today! I was fourth so the list has at least moved that many spots, more people could've been accepted. I know there may be more people here who watch the forum but don't post. I hope this helps some of you who have been waiting.
 
Congrats on the acceptance! I probably won't get an offer with where I am on the waitlist, but if I don't get in elsewhere, I can focus on improving my application for next year and then hopefully I manage to get in! I hope you enjoy the DPT program at NIU if you decide to accept the offer, let us know what you think of it for future applicants!

Keep hope alive! If it doesn't happen this time I'm sure you'll figure out a way to strengthen your app. I found a ton of information after I had already applied on ways to stand out that I wish I'd found before applying. I appreciate the kind words! If you do get an acceptance somewhere else drop back by here and let us know!

lol im the same account lol., I got access back into my old account. This is the account i have save on my work computer. Sorry for the mix up. I AM RoadtoDPT
 
nope i onlyapplied to 3 schools. 1 rejection, and the other on hold until i retake the gre

Hey guys, I hope you all will hear soon with an update of some kind! Although I am far down the list, I finally heard back from my last school and literally a miracle happened and got accepted to Carroll University! Wish I could have joined the class here at NIU, but it will unlikely happen. I wish everyone the best and hope you guys get an offer sometime soon from either NIU or another school!

If it helps, the class is supposed to have 34-36 people but only 30 members in the FB group.

I'm wondering if the coronavirus shutdowns have stopped all waitlist progress?
 
I called and was told I am still #6 on the list . Im guessing the ladies at the academic office do not get an updated list. The best way to find out information now will probably be by email to Dr. Blaschak or the general email.

I hope you hear some good news soon!! This has been a very long and stressful wait! I can't believe how slow this wait list has moved ! I've seen so many other schools on here move so fast past #50 on some wait lists...keeping hope alive!

Unfortunately, at this point in time the cohort is filled, and we don't anticipate any changes at this time.
well there is always next year.
 
im sure no one checks this forum any more, but whats the start date for the program in june
