Does anyone have any specific dates?

And why did they take down the online status check already? didn't they use that when they sent out the first round of acceptances?

I believe that you will hear from them at the end of Feb. They use snail mail to send out acceptance/rejections so you don't need the status check online.

That website causes a lot of angst every year. Limit yourself to one refresh a day for mental sanity.
 
That's funny. Mine still works. What gives? I hope that doesn't mean....:scared:
 
Word from adcom at Feinberg (from secondary source) is that letters go out Monday.

applicant site is down again. Does that mean they are gearing to make decisions?

I can't even get into the applicant site. It's not letting me for some reason. It was fine yesterday.

This is how I feel. I wish they would let us know on the website. Much time and anxiety would be saved...

Ya, I'm itching to hear from NU too. I hope we get the letter this week, but since the status page still says pending I'm beginning to think that we won't.
 
My status page no longer says decision pending. Just says Welcome back. Hmmmm. Ok, sorry, im a little paranoid. Actually, I'm just avoiding studying for the test I have tomorrow.
 
Mine changed to that too. (The "special letter" is gone.) AHH!! I've officially fallen into the SDN vortex! I'm worrying about phrasing on a status page website.

Somebody shoot me.
 
Mine still says decision pending, w/ the special letter and everything. 😕 Decision pending = waitlist??🙁
 
Don't worry yet. Once people get letters, you can check to see if you've gotten one.

On my status page...the part that used to say "a decision is pending" and the special letters are gone!!! maybe they've made decisions and are going to put up the new update: "a decision has been made. expect a letter in the mail in a few days"???!! i hope soo!! can anyone else confirm this? has anyone called NU to check? good luck everyone!!

It still says welcome back.
 
Wierd, my special letter is still there, unchanged. I think the people in the admissions office are just messing with our heads. I'm going to quit worrying about it, but it'll be interesting to see if these changes mean anything.

I just checked my status page as well. "Special Letter" and "Decision Pending" are gone.

I think they're doing that to everyone, but some peoples' pages got updated earlier than others...we're just paranoid.

Hmm.. yes this seems to be the case. I hope they review my app soon, I don't want to be special anymore!

I interviewed in 1/15.
Last name begins with: S
 
I don't think its alphabetical--my last name starts w/ B.

But my interview date was 2/5--pretty late.
 
My decision pending and special letter just disappeared too. Something is going on!
 
i jsut called NU...they said decisions are going out this week. my guess is that they're gonna update everyone's page to say that "a letter has been mailed" soon.

question: does EVERYONE who interviewed get a letter this week, even those who are getting waitlisted/rejected?

i think everyone gets the letter... that will tell u either u accepted, rejected or waitlisted.

My impression from what the dean told us was that yes, we would all get letters saying that either:

a) we're in
b) we're waitlisted
C) some, but not many, will be rejected

I like how they do all this at once.

(I realized this is pretty lame, but hell if you're on SDN and reading this post you're not the prince of cool yourself.) Then we might be able to guess if the time of change had anything to do with acceptance.
 
Dean also said half the interviewees get accepted.

Btw, I think they are going through the status pages by interview dates. That could explain why DrBod's status page hasn't changed yet (interview at 2/5).

I think it's interview dates = change in webpage. They are probably going through the interviewees by the time they interviewed.
 
Interviewed 1/6. Page changed today -- no more special letter/"decision pending."

The dean also told us that about 50 people get rejected post-interview. :scared:
 
mine was jan 20-21st i think

seems like a lot of trouble to do that versus alphabetical order...

who knows...

anyone know? this random "welcome back" phase seems weird.

My special letter and decision pending stuff were still up yesterday on my status page, but disappeared this morning. I am also expecting to see the "a decision has been mailed" message soon, but all I see is the "Welcome back" message. Maybe they are reviewing applications based on geographical region??

no, this didn't happen last round. it went straight from "thanks for interviewing" to "a decision has been made. a letter has been sent".

my status page has also changed to "welcome back", and i was accepted in the fall. (after i was accepted, the status page had some info about the second look weekend - now it is gone) so it seems to me that they are just updating everything at once, and you can't tell anything one way or the other.

my fingers are crossed for you all!
