my application was complete there on 9/2, after a great deal of feet dragging and delay from my college's pre-med committee sending out the letters.
invited to interview on 10/2.

they were cool about extending the deadline. there was a lot of back and forth between me and my school and NU. when i told my school the deadline, they seemed skeptical, so i called NU right away and asked for an extension. they didn't even want to hear my story - they just said ok. then my school said they had sent it, but NU didn't receive it in time (thanks to the good ol' USPS), so i called them and they extended the deadline further. they seemed more interested in keeping on top of when stuff was coming in than hassling me about a specific date.

how come they are sooo disorganized, telling me incorrect stuff, not being communicative, and loosing my e-mails? Grr... am I just having horrible luck with the m? I've worked at NWU for several months, and that conicided with my opinions from them: large beuracratic red tape mess. So, how come they are so nice to you guys?
UCLA man....honestly, what kind of mcats does northwestern look for? i had a really high gpa, but not such a high mcat...and ive been complete since early august!! they said my file is in review...but it seems some people got interviews right away, probably cuz of higher mcats...do you have any insight? thanks!
I didnt have the hottest mcat score either AND I was an august mcater. Just because you haven't been invited to interview yet does not mean its all over. Theres still plenty of time in the season.
Our avg mcat is hovering between a 32-33 and avg gpa is 3.69...but if admissions feels you have something to contribute to the class then it doesnt matter that you are slightly lower in one and higher in the other.
As far as the people interviewing right now...I don't know what their mcats and gpas are. As far as my class is concerned we have people who are way above the avgs and people slightly below. I'd imagine thats how most schools in the nation are. So don't worry about not having an interview yet. Just be patient. It is possible as longas you aren't too far below some of the avgs. Like I said...plenty of time in the season left.
