Northwestern early decision help

has anyone applied early to northwestern? I've read a lot on the website but you anyone tell me somethings they look for or appreciate in a candidate? Is it work applying early decision?

I applied early decision and was deferred to regular decision (though I’m now committed and start the program this fall). From what I’ve heard they do appreciate candidates applying ED because they know you’re serious about their program. However in my case I was deferred to regular and so I had to apply to a bunch of other schools, and my applications for “rolling admissions” schools were delayed because I was waiting on NU.
