not concerned about either program's curriculum (although brigham has more off-service rotations). numbers are very similar and you have enough resources are either institution to publish and be a very competitive fellowship applicant. northwestern has an awesome intern boot camp and seems to prepare their interns well. residents really seemed to care about the interns. i did not sense that at brigham. orientation week isn't very helpful and the interns are exposed to high volume from day #1, with almost zero "hand holding". although, they all seemed very happy and did not believe they were overwhelmed or overworked. did anyone else get a similar vibe? i want autonomy as an intern but it would be nice to have some lectures and simulation during orientation. maybe i am just overlooking my obstetrical expertise; guess 12 days of L&D as a third year should suffice 😳
