For all those counting, that's 4 people who have posted here in the SDN forums that have taken waitlist spots from Northwestern. 🙂 blue32 (5/23), questionable (~6/1)ltrain (6/4), and johnboy12 (6/11). Yes, Dean Brown is gone. Yes (there apparently) will be more movement in late June/July. G'luck to everyone; I wish we could all get in! 😎

Make that 5! I also got offered an e-mail acceptance yesterday from the waitlist! FYI I wrote a single (but very long) Letter of Intent and called almost every week during the last month or two. Good luck to everyone else out there waiting!

All,

Got an email acceptance earlier today. For those still waiting patiently, I sent a number of updates, personal statements, and additional letters of recommendation. However, I cannot say for sure whether or not these efforts made a difference. I do plan on attending and wish you all the best of luck.

Hi everyone, good luck to those of you still waiting and congrats to those that have gotten in! I just finished my M1 year at Feinberg and absolutely loved it. If any of you have any questions about the school, living situations, Chicago, or anything else, please feel free to PM me. If any of you are considering living in the high rises right by the school (where most students live), let me know because if you live in my building and mention me, I'll split the $600 refer bonus that they'll give me...that'll help cover some books! Good luck!!
 
did anyone on the waitlist receive an email that says:

"Dear Students,

On Tuesday, May 15, 2007, applicants who have received an acceptance from the Feinberg School of Medicine and additional medical schools will decide what medical school they will enroll, and withdraw from all other schools. The Office of Admissions hopes to accommodate you with an opportunity to attend the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. Please continue to stay in touch and express your interest in enrolling at our school. etc. etc. "

just wondering if that's something that they send to everyone still on the waitlist?? any input is appreciated!
 
I got the email too...it seems they send it to everyone on the waitlist. Anyways, it was nice to at least hear something from them. Just when I was thinking I had sent too many updates, they ask for more :luck:

It seems the admissions were at a meeting throughout this morning when I called. I wonder what they were meeting about.🙂
