Congrats! I am waiting to here back from them. As I'm living outside of the country, I listed my parents' home phone number on my PTCAS application. Well, it turns out that my parents had unplugged their home phone up until a couple days ago when I thought to give them a heads up in case Northwestern called.

I'm assuming they do call-backs, but I'm hoping they didn't get a "disconnected" message and either not call back, or already trying calling back a couple of times before I got my parents to plug the phone back in. Do you think they are likely to send an email if a phone call did not go through? Eish... what a time for that to happen.
 
Just got one! Are you going to the open house Carson Ranger? And is this one of your top choices?
 
For those that got in, what are your stats and when was your application submitted by ptcas if you don't mind me asking?
 
It's the best program I applied to. I'm still waiting to hear from a couple schools
that are closer to home (Regis, UTah). I will be at the open house.
PTCAS says my application was mailed Oct. 14.

My application was mailed on 9/23 and my stats are:
Undergrad: Penn State
Major: Kinesiology
Minor: Psych
Overall GPA: 3.79
Pre-Req GPA: 3.71
GRE: V 159 Q 155 AW 4.5

Extra-curric: Research assistant for 3 years (presented research on-campus and at a national conference), secretary of Kinesiology Club, member of Global Medical Brigades (traveled to Panama), peer mentor, THON (philanthropic organization for pediatric cancer), studied abroad in London, scribe and medical assistant for 2 young men with muscular dystrophy for 6 years, full undergraduate scholarship that has required me to be part of a living/learning diversity program
Observation hours: approx. 500 hours at 7 different clinics (~100 inpatient)

I applied to Regis, too, but am trying to gauge my interest. I got a little ambitious in the admission's process because I wasn't sure where I wanted to be. I'm from PA and got a nice package to Drexel so I'm trying to decide how much I want to travel around to explore schools. Do you have a geographical preference or is it mostly just program-dependent?
 
I grew up in PA (Easton) and have friends in Philly. I plan to interview at TJ Dec.10 and Drexel Dec.12.
But NU is one time zone closer than PHL, and CHI is a nonstop flight from Reno.
UTah and Regis are yet another time zone closer. I have a soft spot for Mountain Time ... TiK ToK, on the clock ...

Makes sense! I've actually never been out that way, but have heard great things. Let me know your thoughts on TJ and Drexel! I interview at TJ next Monday.
 
I still haven't heard anything from Northwestern. The wait is no fun, but I hope to hear from them soon! Crossing my fingers.
 
I keep hearing great things about Philly ~~ I'm interviewing at Drexel and Jefferson Dec. 10-12.
Any tips would be great. These will be my first interviews, and I'm a "non-trad" from far outside the medical field.
 
Hey Carson Ranger, would you mind sharing your stats? I plan to apply for Northwestern as well once I'm eligible in a couple of years.

I have interviewed at both.
Drexel is VERY laid back. You arrive and are in a group of approximately 12 students. I believe we were split up into 3 groups. We started out with a presentation about the program, then did a tour, Q&A, and finally an interview. Interviews were one-on-one and very conversational in nature. I was maybe asked 5 actual interview questions. I loved it but honestly left thinking that because of the relaxed environment, I had not gotten an opportunity to really "stand out." That being said, I was accepted two weeks later with a pretty generous scholarship. I really think the interview is mostly to make sure you don't have any huge red flags and are not socially inept.
TJ is a little more intense but still not bad. I interviewed there yesterday and there were 6 of us. We broke up into 2 groups of 3 and started off with a Q&A with a prof. We then interviewed with Don Sharples. This was a group interview but it wasn't bad. Questions are pretty traditional. After that we got to observe a class then go on a tour.

Got my phone call this morning. 90% sure I'll accept it. It was the best school I applied to. Congrats to everyone else who got the call today!

Major: Psych and Criminal Justice
Overall GPA: 3.21
Pre-req GPA: 3.20
GRE: verbal 156, Quant 145, writing 5.0

Extra-Curric: USAF Soccer team, health professions and pre-law club, Pre-PT club,
(non-trad). 4 years active duty military medic

Hours: 55 inpatient 45 outpatient

Volunteer: wounded warrior foundation, public school physicals, volunteer medic (several)


Submitted 21 August, verified 7 September.
 
Got the call this morning!
NWU is my 3rd choice school behind Creighton and Delaware. I will wait until I hear from them before making any decisions.

And for everyone asking...stats...

University: Arizona State University
Major: Kinesiology (Business minor)
Overall GPA: 3.76
Pre-Req GPA: 3.57
GRE: V-157 Q-151 AW- 4.0?

Extra-Curric: Student Veteran Association, work at least part time during entire collegiate career sometimes 2 jobs.

Volunteer: 315 hours total: 315 outpatient ortho/neuro/geriatric/pediatric/sport. Trying to set up inpatient now.

Applied: Creighton, Delaware, Northwestern, Mayo, MGH, Northern Arizona, Pacific (Oregon), Washington, Florida, Illinois at Chicago, Nevada- Las Vegas, Pitt, and Regis.

Acceptances:Northwestern

Interviews: Creighton

Submitted 9-7 verified 10-5.

Also, a USMC vet.
 
FYI my "best school I applied to" comment was when I was under the impression that rankings meant anything. I'm in my first year at UNLV now.

Does anyone know when they send out the next round of acceptances?
 
I just got a call yesterday telling me that I was accepted and then later that day got an email.
 
159 Verbal 156 Quantitative 5 Analytical. Combined Science and Math GPA 3.76 Total as calculated by PTCAS (not last 60) 3.66
150 Observation hrs only in 2 settings
