I realize that for a few of the schools I am applying to, I won't be able to complete all of their required courses by the time I graduate (current senior) because my school offers specific classes that I need to take only in the fall. Is it generally allowed for me to take one or two classes over the winter or summer to make sure I have these? If it's the summer, it would be in a June semester, so that would be before dental school starts (cutting it close, though). Please help - any suggestions!!!!! I'm realizing how last minute this situation is! 🙁

It's generally not a problem (my final transcripts were due July 1, but I still had classes to complete so I could and earn my degree in August). But, you should inform the schools you are applying to.

Hello,

I too have about 3 summer courses that I need to complete the summer before I attend dental school in order to graduate. Is this okay and allowed by dental schools? And how do you inform the schools? Is there a special place on the application.

Thank you so much!

That's fine as long as you complete them before matriculation. You just list the classes you'll be taking in the "Planned Enrollment" section of the AADSAS.

Ok sounds great. Thank you so much for responding!
