Hey! Has anyone here received a full ride or large merit-based scholarship to a dental school, and where? I am not sure if they even exist, but if they do they are definitely not well known!

Yep. They’re pretty common. It’s called Air Force, Navy, or Army. Also Indian Health and National Health Service.

As mentioned by @D1Bound, NHSC and HPSP are probably 99% of full tuition scholarships. You might see some "large" tuition based scholarships like Penn's dean's scholarship that will drop their tuition and fees from like 120k to 80k which is still abhorrently expensive and not worth it.

Common? I believe there are approximately 100 4-year HPSP per year for dental students and ~30/year for NHSC. And about 7,000 D1 student per year.

Be prepared to pay full price. And, be prepared for annual 5% tuition increases.

A lot, when I applied for the 3 year there were 126 candidates for around 14 spots. This is not a shoe in, there are many qualified candidates.
