Portal open on June 3rd. To my knowledge, we basically list the e-mails of the recipients who will be writing our LOR's and from there, AADSAS will send out an e-mail for them to upload their LOR's.

Question: How soon does this happen? One of the professors who is responsible for one of my LOR's will be on vacation the second week of June. In the case that the e-mails do get sent out during his vacation, would it be wise to have the e-mail be sent to another person who will have my LOR word document and just have that person send it instead?

Submitting LOR's is separate from submitting the actual application itself. AADSAS will immediately send out an email to your professor once you put him/her in the system. Don't worry about them uploading it the first week the app comes out because the app can be submitted without all of your LOR being uploaded. As long as he/she can submit it within the 4-6 week time span it takes for apps to reach schools, you will be fine.

Yea it's instant, my professors submitted my letters the same day. Just let them know when they will be getting notified and they shouldn't have a problem getting it uploaded right away.
