Not another pre-studying question

Hey everyone, I've been fortunate to have been accepted this cycle and am excited to be starting in the fall. I'm definitely following the advice and am not pre-studying for med school classes, but I'm a humanities major and haven't taken many science classes outside of the pre-reqs. I was just wondering if there were certain gaps in foundational knowledge current med students with similar academic backgrounds had compared to their science-major classmates. Like I said, not about to pre-study, but if there are topics other non-science majors wished they'd come in with, it would be helpful to hear. Thanks!

I've talked to some current med schools students about this, I've been told that certain people found it helpful to review the basics on Kahn Academy, and one student suggested I get a copy of first aid and read through it (just read. don't try to memorize anything) the summer before school starts just to prime your brain and get familiar with the material.

It likely won't be helpful. If you knew enough to score well enough on the MCAT to get into medical school, your foundation will likely be fine.

This is the reason why medical schools have required pre-reqs, and a reason why everyone must take the MCAT. You have all of the foundational knowledge you need.
