Is it a waste of time if your not christian and applying to LLU? In their secondary, they ask multiple religious questions so obviously your religious affiliation is important to them. Is it enough to reply with a "I respect religion and the role it plays at LLU and society in general, but I have not come to pick one yet" or are they going to just throw out my app? Also, any one know what percentage of dental students are not Christian at LLU? Anyone get an interview who isn't Christian? Thanks for the help and god bless. ...badoom-che

Take a serious look at how they run things there if you're not Christian. It's all on their website, but if I remember right, every Wednesday morning there's a mandatory chapel service and the library, labs, etc. are closed at least one of the days on the weekend with the idea that you have no excuse for "not worshiping". Nothing wrong with the way they choose to run the school incorporating their faith, but just be sure you know what you're getting into before applying. Especially if you don't have the same beliefs. Personally, as the non-Christian that I am, I would not be comfortable there at all.

As far as your question, I couldn't tell you. Maybe you could ask this question under the "dental students" forum so some actual LL students can give you acurate responses.

you have to show them that you are spiritual...so if u dont believe in any religion...figure it out before you apply...some sort of justificaiton or somethign

If you don't belong to any organized religion though, aren't you going to have problems with the requested letter of reference from a religious/spiritual leader ?

The school's facilities are closed on Saturday and they hold Wednesday services. Their religious practices are built very much into their weekly regimen, and their mission statement is pretty clear about their stance on religion - so just make it's for you.

i actually got a religious leader of anohter faith to rite mine...i have discussed religion with this man several times and they accepted the letter

Lome Linda basically accepts 70% SDA. So if you're not SDA you're already at a huge disadvantage. Dental school is competitive enough, so unless you really want to go to Loma Linda i wouldn't waste my time on the secondary.
