Hey everyone,
I have been working as an ophthalmic technician for 1.5 years, 1st year with a general opohthalmologist and recently switched to work with a retina specialist. I work almost 40+ hrs/wk with extensive amount of patient and physician interaction. I did also shadow a family physician for a total of 24 hours over 1 week period.
I don't have that much to say about volunteering however. I volunteered as a tutor to underprivileged children as a freshman in college for about 4 hrs/wk for 3 months.
Does this put me at a disadvantage, or is my clinical exposure enough to offset lack of volunteering?
I would appreciate your comments. I am getting a little paranoid about this now.
