I heard that if you attend a school that just holds a pre-candidate or candidate status for accreditation, in some states (CA) the dean has to write a letter to the board of pharmacy asking for temporary accreditation by the state board of pharmacy.

Anyone have experience with this? thank you.

I'm currently attending Touro, which is not yet accredited (candidate status). I applied for the intern license and got it in 2 weeks.

I think your school's dean submitted letter asking for the school to be recognized by the CA BOP, which is another way to around it.

thanks for sharing though.

The forms for intern license in CA all require the dean's signature. Accredited or not.
