Hi all, I'm just posting about something I've been thinking about - please add if you like.

Personally, I'm not that opposed to working really hard in my internship year - in fact I'm kind of looking forward to the responsibility and learning curve that will come with the time I put into everything. Does anyone else feel this way or am I an ABSOLUTE FREAK?

I loved my sub-I and I worked like an intern, I loved surgery and working overtime in the ER, I've also come in on days off to see procedures or be with patients when I felt it would benefit them. I keep seeing all these threads on "cush" residency's and I was just curious if other people feel this way about certain rotations/clerkships or even residency?

My concern is not having time to read outside of internal med/peds/etc. I have been spoiled with having the time to devour a crapload of psych journal articles over the past year and can't get enough it seems!

AHA! Now I see the difference, I'm a big on hands learner as opposed to a big reader - oy oy oy for me reading can even be painful sometimes if I'm not just quickly looking something up to apply to the current scenario!

I will retract part of my above statement, as I was just looking through some residency "call" for psych - and I AM NOT into doing q3d, that looks HORRIBLE and I may even rank a program lower with that kind of call schedule YUCK 👎
