i really need some advice! my test is in 9days and i have yet to have mastered any of the sections of the DAT. I am really scared and cant move the date of the test. I have watched and taken notes to all of your clips, but i have never been very strong in chem to begin with. I have purchased KBB, DAT destroyer Math Destroyer (which i am doing horrible on the practice problems), top score and Crack the DAT PAT. I feel like there is still so much for me to learn but not enough time even though i have studied 8-12hrs a day for a little over a month...... any suggestions on what I can do in 9 days? i already submitted dental school apps and they are waiting for DAT scores...... deadline is comeing up and i just dont know what to do.... so scared and sad over this PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!🙁

OKAY. Assuming you are absolutely screwed and didn't do jack, here's a nice 9-day plan for you.
I think you need to watch Chad's videos. If you move fast and skip over certain sections that you already know, you should be able to watch GC in a day, OC in a day, and biology + QR in a day. That's 4 sections in 3 days.
Spend the next 3 days doing all of destroyer. Just do them fast and know the ones you got wrong. Also make sure to know the ones you got right (e.g. the ones that say All of the above....know all of them).
For PAT, buckle down and do all of crack dat pat in one day. That's more or less 12 hours, factoring in your break times. That's 5 sections in 7 days.
2 days left, take your 3 top scores...probably two on the first day, one on the second. This is all you can do at this point for your RC, which should be an okay representative.
If you have any time left over, go through math destroyer. It is not that important in my opinion, as I only went through half of the math in DAT destroyer and I got a 22 on my first QR in DAT Achiever.
I'm sure if you've studied over a month, you should have some of what I said completed. If so, take out the stuff you already did and replace them with math destroyer or extra practice from datqvault, or just go over Chad's again. The most important thing though is finishing up your 3 topscores so you can at least get some stamina for your real DAT.

My test is in 3 weeks. Most of us will never "master" an entire subject.....just get good at what you know and identify and work on your weak areas.
Work on testing techniques.....what will you do when faced with a problem that A. you don't get or B. will take you a while? You guess, mark it and move on. The last thing you want to do is spend too much time on the ones you don't know and rush through the ones you do know or worse run out of time. That's my strategy going in.
I will not master math, I just can't, but I think I got myself to a point where I can get an average score. I did all 11 math destroyers and 5 DAT qvault math so far. I will finish the 10 exams but I don't want to take time away from the most important sections, therefore I devoted way more time on chem, and PAT.
Have you taken a practice exam yet? If you haven't yet, definitely do it soon so you can work on weak points and get a feel for that line of questioning.

I was in a similar situation as you. I took the DAT yesterday. The best thing i did was to take full length exams to simulate the real thing. Buy the time the real thing came along I knew the pace i needed for each section. I took 6 of them (one per day) and made myself do the entire thing so I would get my stamina up.
For GenChem (and orgo), your best bang for the buck is Chads videos. There are about 5hrs of videos in that section. Watch, take notes, do the exams, do Destroyer/study your notes, and you will be fine.

if you are not ready, dont take the test. you can still cancel and reschedule as i think the deadline is 3 days prior to the test day. i was in the same boat last year and totally screwed my DAT.

IMO, reschedule. I didn't have enough mental strength to be taking 5+ hours of practice test so I never took full length until the day of the test.
1) You don't want to retake a test that is 5 hours full length again.
2) You don't want to pay again 360 bucks for retake if you do bad.
3)Your apps are already late compared to others and worst case scenario if you bomb this time around you have to wait 3 months to retake and schools won't consider your apps until they receive your new scores so your app won't be processed until mid november.
5)I rescheduled multiple times and I'm glad I did that. If I took it when I felt i wasn't ready I would have totally bombed it, thus wasting time and money.

I don't think anyone can ever truly be ready or master all sections of the DAT. DONT reschedule, as this all only cause a delay in the review of your application. From experience, I can tell you that once you open the door to rescheduling, you will likely reschedule again after you set the next date. Watch chads and go through destroyer. Take 30q's out of gc, 30 from oc in destroyer, and 40q's out of bio...set up mini tests and time yourself. As long as you expose yourself and try to understand the explanations in destroyer, i think you'll manage to land a respectable score. Good luck

Master DESTROYER Bio, Gen Chem, Orgo!! Do it like 5 times, I just took DAT friday for third time and found very similar questions, good luck but if you dont feel confident DON'T DO IT!! To be HONEST you are already late with the whole process, so maybe you just reschedule and notify schools. Give yourself another month and practice exams over and over! I am on the same boat but did not submit my application yet, and may need to wait for next cycle. Good luck
