not releasing usmle scores for eras

I am a DO graduate during eras and have taken comlex 1 and 2. I am also taking USMLE step 2 but never took step one. I have my reasons for doing this I will not get into now.

The question is, if god forbid, I do poorly on USMLE II, can I simply not release it? I know there are some vague rules out there that you still have to if applying to ACGME residencies.

However, I found another thread mentioning there is no enforcement of this and your scores are completely confidential.
