Not sure how to group works/activities entries on AMCAS

Hi, I'm applying for the first time this cycle and I'm having some trouble formatting the works/activities entries. I worked with two doctors and, for both of them, I did research, shadowing/medical observation, and publication. Like, I shadowed them and observed how they interacted with patients, helped with the research, and then was an author in the resulting publications. These fall into different categories, and I don't know if I should be grouping them somehow or making six different entries.

Also, I worked at a "biopathology" lab where I think my official title was intern. The lab processed patient diagnostic tests like blood tests. It wasn't research, but I was actually doing work, so it also wasn't just an observership. I'm not sure how to categorize it. It wasn't a paid position either, so it can't be a job.

Additionally, I'm debating if I should include some non-medical volunteering from before university. I haven't done much volunteering during my undergrad, and the little bit that I did was medical. I think I could write an interesting essay about it and it would fill in the gaps. I'm a bit scared of my application becoming too research-heavy, to be honest.

Any advice would be much appreciated, kind of losing my mind over these apps 🙂
