Hello my fellow pre-meds,
Everyone knows premeds need at least 1 year of biology for medical school requirement. Because of my AP credits, I didn't have to take many basic bio classes because I am majoring biotechnology. I have one semester left and I decided to take biochem class (3 credit) and biochem lab (2 credit). I'm just extra-concerned because I'm not sure if it counts as a bio lab although it says it is a biochem lab. I actually took a bioinstrument lab before. I thought it would count as a bio lab, but my pre-health advisor told me medical school didn't count it because it is too instrument-specific.
Here is the course description:
Experimental method in Biochem & Biotech
Biochemical techniques including enzyme and lipid assays, isolation, and analysis of macromolecules.
Would this count as a biology lab? Someone told me it might be counted as a chemistry lab?? I need your advice. Thank you!
