not sure what to do about retakes?

So i'm thinking about retaking a chemistry course. It's kind of hard to explain, but basically it was like a general, general chemistry, like a refresher class before I took the upper level chemistry classes. Well I took this freshman year and got a B-, but followed it with a A- in the upper level chem course, should I retake the B- or just let it be? My advisor said yes, but then again i get better advice on here then i've ever gotten from her..Thanks!!

You don't need to retake it, but consider doing so if you didn't grasp the concepts firmly enough to do well on the MCAT. The A- in the second course redeems the first grade and suggests that a retake is probably not needed.

do not retake it if you main reason is just to get a better grade. you can learn the material if you forgot for mcat purposes on your own but retaking... not a good idea.
