Hey all! So I'm graduating next month with a ****ty gpa of 2.8. Excuses aside, I take the blame for the low gpa and have taken some steps in receiving help. I did post on SDN before and since then, I took some steps to reach out for help. I even switched out of my major in the mean time to help my personal health situation. I would love to get into Dental school one day.
Now it's time for part two! I'm ready to graduate and move forward into the process of fixing my GPA...if possible. I haven't taken many science classes except gen chem (Straight C's) and gen bio (D,D, F). I took one organic chem class and ended up with a D. I applied to CSUEB post bacc program and didn't get in. My question is, what do I do now? A second bachelors? Open University? Is it worth me even trying?

You’re looking at 2-3 years of gpa repairing.
You need to take all of the prereqs at JC or at your local state university and try to get all As in those classes. I know it’s hard, but you can’t get anything lower than a B. After you’re done with that, apply to special master programs. Most of them take applicatants with 3.0 gpa or higher.
Look into school like Western University of the Pacific ( they have a special master program as well as a good dental school)

Keep trying, there is a long road ahead of you. But it’s not impossible! And also don’t forget to volunteer🙂

I've been getting mixed vibes about taking post-bacc classes at a community college? It would certainly be much cheaper for me and much easier transportation wise. :/

Retake the science classes. The 2ish years will go by quick. If you get a C in a few of the classes, it's not the end of the world. Just try not to make it a trend.

I took all of these classes as a non-traditional. Ended up getting all B's and one C in O-chem 2. Sucked major that I couldn't pull any A's, but it is what it is.

To answer your last question:

100% worth the effort. Don't give up. Ever.
