I was a bit surprised that (according to this census) whites are now a minority in 4 states and DC. I knew Cali, TX, Hawaii, and New Mexico all had high minority populations, but not the majority.

Actually, all white children born in the US today will be minorities by the time they graduate from highschool. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, but it is interesting.

Another interesting fact is that the US would actually have negative population growth if it weren't for immigration (both legal and illegal .
