not understanding something on predents.com

So i looked up the GPA on predents.com for the heck of it. It says that NYU has a avg gpa of 3.14. But then when i clicked on this link http://www.predents.com/?page=school&school_id=16
it said the gpa was 3.58 for accepted, an the rejected had a gpa of 6.02??? What am i reading wrong an what should i be lookin at??

unfortunately pdizzle has not limited the range of numbers that can be entered and as a result people put in really crazy numbers that throw off the averages.

i dont know...predents gives an idea but keep in mind this is a small sampling of the applicant pool. many of the posters on predents are SDNers, and ppl on SDN tend to have higher than average stats. i do know that NYU is one of the easier schools to get into though.

as long as you have some solid DAT scores, you should have a pretty good shot.

doesn't putting zeros also skew the average downwards? or did predents.com make it so zeros are not counted in teh average?

i didn't enter any zeroes... i put nothing so they must be the default. i'm assuming they're not included in the average.
